What is a Sanding Machine Conveyor Belt

A sanding belt (sanding machine conveyor belt) is a special conveyor belt, mainly designed for wood processing and other industrial sanding scenarios. The core requirements for a qualified sanding belt are high friction and suitable hardness. High friction ensures that the wood moves synchronously with the belt during sanding, avoiding belt slipping and failed sanding. Suitable hardness makes the belt easy to install into the sanding machine, while ensuring a long service life.
ELASN Machinery has introduced advanced foreign mechanical equipment and processing technology since its establishment. We have carried out extensive exchanges and cooperation with well-known sanding machine manufacturers and end-users at home and abroad, and developed a variety of patterned sanding machine conveyor belts to fully meet the diverse needs of different customers.
Core Dimensions to Measure & Select a Sanding Belt
- Pattern form: Confirm the required pattern type of the sanding belt to match your working condition
- Number of layers: Measure and confirm the required number of fabric layers of the belt
- Thickness: Accurately measure the thickness of the belt (unit: mm) to fit the sanding machine
- Width: Measure the maximum width of the belt required for your equipment (unit: mm)
- Material: Confirm the skeleton material of the belt to adapt to the working environment
Main Types of Sanding Belts

- Straight pattern (oval) sanding machine belt
- Large diamond grid polishing machine conveyor belt
- Deep pattern sanding machine conveyor belt
- Lawn pattern sanding machine conveyor belt
- Wood sanding machine belt
- Stone sanding machine conveyor belt
- Plate sanding machine conveyor belt
- Metal sanding machine conveyor belt
Key Technical Parameters of Sanding Belts
The following are the core technical parameters of our mainstream sanding belt models, for your measurement and selection reference:
| Model | Pattern Form | Skeleton Material | Number of Layers | Thickness (mm) | Color | Maximum Width (mm) |
| TG Type | Lawn Deep Pattern | High-strength Polyester Fabric | 2-5 | 4.5-8 | Green, Black | 1500 |
| TS-1 Type | Oval Pattern | High-strength Polyester Fabric | 3-5 | 8-10 | Green, Black | 1500 |
| TS-2 Type | Diamond Grid Pattern | High-strength Polyester Fabric | 3-5 | 8-12 | Green, Black | 1500 |
Application Ranges of Sanding Belts
- Flat conveyor belt (long-distance conveying)
- Inclined conveyor belt (inclination angle ≤19°C)
- Groove conveyor belt
- Cigarette cabinet bottom belt
- Electronic scale belt
- Elevator belt (with skirt, baffle or rake nail)
- Reciprocating belt
- Ribbed belt
Daily Use & Maintenance Guide for Sanding Belts
- Do not use the sanding belt in temperature or chemical environments that it does not adapt to, and do not use it to transport unsuitable materials.
- Select the appropriate specification of the conveyor belt according to the characteristics of the conveyed materials and the use environment, such as pattern type, number of rubber layers, and temperature tolerance range.
- Pay attention to the lubrication of the idler, but do not stain the conveyor belt with oil. Avoid the idler being covered by materials, which will cause poor rotation and damage the conveyor belt.
- Prevent the sanding belt from starting with load, and ensure that there is no material residue on the conveyor belt when shutting down.
- Prevent the sanding belt from running off track, and take corrective measures in time.
- When local damage is found on the sanding belt, repair it in time to avoid the expansion of the damage.
- Avoid the sanding belt being blocked by the frame and bulk materials, and prohibit sharp objects from scratching the surface of the conveyor belt.
- Adjust the tension in time to avoid unnecessary material stretching of the belt body caused by slack.
- The stains on the surface of the sanding belt can be cleaned with neutral washing powder, or wiped with alcohol. It is strictly forbidden to use pure benzene chemicals.
